More pictures of Violet are coming soon, but here's a pic of Violet's very first family. Thanks to their loving kindness (and realizing that their current situation wasn't the best for Violet, and Violet was getting depressed) we have been blessed with our lovely little Frenchie addition. But it's really awesome when they get to see Violete, and she them!!
We are now the proud owners of a beautiful little French Bulldog named Ultra-Violet, or Violet for short. The story is below, but if you don't feel like reading all of that, then you might just enjoy these videos. The quality isn't great, but you get the idea.

She's a chewer, for sure.
Beautiful Violet in the morning sun.
When I began working at Wagville, I instantly became enamoured with one dog in particular: a little French Bulldog named Violet. This little girl was strong as an ox, beautiful as a princess, and loving, sweet, and wonderful. She was also a fantastic jumper, and was known to jump a 4' fence without batting an eye. It was pretty much entirely due to her that Wagville had to get all new 6' fencing in the play area, because Violet jumped out daily, especially when some of her favorite people were on the other side of the fence. Shortly after Molly started going to Wagville, Curtis came in to extend the fences on the small dog side and make them lower. As Molly was just under 2lbs, she was small enough to squeeze under the fence into the large dog side, and that's just a very bad idea. So Curtis spent a Saturday and went in to work on the fences. On that day, he met Violet. I showed him her fabulous trick, which is that if you gesture your hands in a certain way, she'll jump straight up into the air from a sitting position and into your arms. He fell in love with her immediately. Years passed. Curtis occasionally stopped in to Wagville for various reasons, and he always stopped back to say hello to Violet. Every time Violet's parents came to pick her up I doted on her. I talked about how wonderful she was, always being sure to call her by the name "Beautiful" in their presence. I never missed an opportunity to express to them how special she was to me, or how lucky they were to have her. In early January, I got a call from Wagville. I was in the middle of something, so I didn't take the call. When I listened to my voicemail the message said "Hey, Kim... please call us at Wagville... it's urgent." Well I would have called them right back anyway, but of course that message made me call immediately. I reached Jacob, who said "I have some good news for you." I replied, "Violet's for adoption?" Ha, ha. Funny joke. They all know how much I love her and that's the only thing I could think of that would be good news to me. Expecting him to reveal the true good news, Jacob replied "yeah, actually, she is." Apparently her parents had called my boss and explained that with their new baby, and a new job, and an impending move far away from Wagville (who they depend upon heavily) they just didn't feel it was fair to her to coop her up in a small apartment with no outlet for her energy, and no time to give her the attention she deserves. So my boss typed up a memo about the situation, asking if anyone was interested in adopting Violet. She hit "print" from her office, which prints to the main printer at the reception desk. Jacob picked up the memo as it was coming out of the printer and didn't distribute it... he called me immediately. The rest is history. Violet: the dog that allowed Molly and her little Yorkie boyfriend Farq to tumble and run all over her when they were puppies without even opening her eyes from her nap... Violet: the dog that jumps into your arms from the floor and licks your neck like it's a porkchop... Violet: the dog who gets along with every other dog because she has a very neutral temperament, is very easy-going, and is pretty much ok with everything that happens in the known world... Violet: the only dog that ever made Curtis even *think* about having more than one dog... Violet. Our new little girl (Daddy's girl!), and Molly's new big sister. And Molly is just perfectly ok with that. Violet
